What confidence means
Every Opportunity Score includes a confidence number and a High / Medium / Low label. Treat it as a quality-of-information badge sitting next to the score.
- High — more of the supporting meters had usable input, so the overall number is a more complete comparison tool.
- Medium — some parts are inferred or missing. Useful, but double-check with Profit Check and a tighter query.
- Low — several parts could not be filled, or the reading is mostly concept language. Do not treat a high overall score with low confidence as a green light.
What lowers confidence
Leaving audience, price, and cost empty gives the system less to work with. Concept-only readings (when marketplace sales data is not connected) also stay conservative. A dash on a meter is a missing piece, not a zero.
How to raise confidence in practice
Add the optional Product Scout fields, run Keyword Explorer on a more specific phrase, and enter real numbers in Profit Check. Confidence will still not become a sales probability — it only tells you the reading is less incomplete.
