Does Market Smart use Etsy data?
No. This version does not connect to Etsy (or Amazon, eBay, and similar APIs) to pull listings or sales. Readings use concept language, optional numbers you type, and anonymous Mascori activity when it exists.
Does it guarantee a product will sell?
No. Scores, labels, and write-ups are decision aids. They are not a promise of orders.
What does Confidence mean?
It describes how complete the reading is (High, Medium, or Low), not the chance of a sale. See Understanding confidence scores.
Why can two similar ideas have different scores?
Audience, product type, price, cost, and phrasing all move the meters. Small wording changes are real research differences.
Can I use Market Smart if I sell outside Mascori?
Yes. Research is marketplace-neutral. Creating a Mascori product still requires a Mascori seller shop, but you can research ideas you plan to sell on your own site or elsewhere.
Can I research products for Amazon, Etsy, or my own website?
You can research the concept regardless of where you might sell it later. Market Smart does not import live Amazon or Etsy competitor data. Treat results as concept-level guidance.
How is Profit Check calculated?
It subtracts product cost, shipping, the fee percent and fixed fee you entered, ads, packaging, and other costs from the selling price. The leftover is contribution. Margin is contribution divided by selling price. Break-even is the price that would cover those costs at the same fee percent. Suggested price sits above break-even to leave room.
Can I save an idea without creating a product?
Yes. Use Save Opportunity or Save Keyword. Creating a product is a separate step.
Why do some meters show a dash?
That part did not have enough information. Add optional fields or a more specific query and research again.
