Work like a seller, not like a keyword machine
- Start with a defined audience rather than a broad object. “Teachers” plus “tumbler” beats “tumbler.”
- Compare related ideas before you decide. Two close phrases often tell you more than one hero score.
- Check margin in Profit Check before you create. A strong Opportunity Score with a 8% margin is a hobby, not a plan.
- Consider evergreen vs seasonal timing. Seasonal ideas need calendar room; evergreen ideas can wait for a good design.
- Use Keyword Explorer to find a more specific angle instead of listing the first broad phrase.
- Save promising research instead of repeating the same searches later (searches are limited).
- Do not treat AI write-ups, meters, or suggested titles as guaranteed market facts. They are decision aids based on the information available.
A healthy “no”
Archiving a weak idea is a successful research session. Market Smart’s job is to help you skip listings that would waste blanks, ads, and time.
